The D. Hudgins Inc. was birthed out of a passion for ending and preventing homelessness while ensuring the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and decreased quality of life are met. Johnny Terrell founded the organization to carry out his cousin’s passion for supporting those in need in Detroit. After his cousin died of COVID, Johnny founded The D. Hudgins Inc. with the plan to collaborate, build partnerships, and provide resources to ensure vulnerable individuals have access to the best possible support, care, and treatment to achieve wellness and autonomy. The D. Hudgins Inc. is a way to react to the devastating disparities surrounding underprivileged and underserved groups of individuals.
Johnny envisioned the reality of the solution in providing community resources like mental health treatment, rental assistance, food assistance, and other programs to facilitate the connections between the community and resources. Such reality will be manifested with The D. Hudgins Inc. organization.
